High Net Worth Individual (HNWI) A certified high net worth individual is an investor deemed wealthy enough to withstand the financial loss of an investment. As of March 2024, the criteria are: Annual income: Had an income of at least £100,000 in the last financial year. Net assets: Had net assets of at least £250,000 throughout the last financial year. Net assets exclude the value of their primary residence, pensions, and any rights under an insurance contract. Self-certification: The individual must complete and sign a statement confirming they meet one or both of these financial thresholds.
